For the Love of Quotes
Some days, I search for quotes. Quotes to motivate me, inspire me, give me perspective.
Some days, quotes refresh my soul like ice water refreshes my body after an exhausting run.
I know I’m not the only one who adores a good quote! Why do people love them so much? Instagram, Facebook, on t-shirts, coffee mugs, you name it– quotes paint the world we live in.
Quotes are a simple, often beautiful, way to convey a greater message. They can shift attitudes, affirm beliefs, serve as motivation, or a gentle reminder. They resonate with a multitude of people despite drastic differences in background and culture.
So, we love quotes.
Some days I search for peace a little harder than usual. Today, I admit, is one of those days.

It’s funny, though, how the little things can remind you of the (much) bigger picture.
My pretty succulents did just that for me, this morning. They reminded me.
They reminded me of what is true.
If you know me, you might know how much I absolutely love succulents. Their beautiful leaves, filled with sap, enable growth and strength despite extremely warm conditions. They’re beautiful, and strong.
Beautiful and strong.
It’s what I want to be. It’s what I am, if I allow myself. And that goes for you too.
